Why I Run to the Sun
The transition points were “over the top”. The generosity of the people and their spots was the most encouraging and uplifting thing I have experienced in a long time.
It was really special. It may have been because the kids on the course were SO ADORABLE! Or could it have been the most AMAZING exchange points ever? I was blown away. That just made it so special. What a wonderful tradition. I’m still reeling from it.
I can hardly say enough about last night. It is truly hard to put into words, but it will remain one of my most treasured memories. I was explaining to someone today about the “energy, community, excitement fun and HOPE” and it was truly difficult if you were not a party of it.
What a unique event. I love running through night in the Hill Country.
It’s great being a part of a community of people who push themselves mentally and physically while striving to make a real difference.
The unity of everyone working towards a common goal was inspiring!
The first few exchange stations were great; it was awesome having all of those kids there! The atmosphere at the run is so positive, and we enjoy it so much.
Every year I feel this connection that’s hard to explain. A connection to my coworkers/friends, a connection to the running community, a connection to making a difference, a connection to nature, a connection to your family, a connection to myself.
What an awe-inspiring event and super fun exchange station. We are already looking forward to participating again next year!
It was such an amazing experience that I have not stopped talking about! I will for sure be back next year.
