Not ready to commit to an overnight 90 mile relay race? Participate in the 2K Fun Run to the Sun! Open to people of all ages and paces, the 2K is a way for everyone to get involved in the fight against juvenile Batten disease. The 2K Fun Run (about 1.2 miles) is a no-pressure run/walk located at the Camp Mabry track. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. the morning of April 12th and overnight relay racers and 2K Fun Runners will cross the finish line together at sunrise. Afterwards, join us for a sunrise celebration breakfast (complete with family-friendly activities) as we celebrate the strength and determination of those impacted by this devastating disease and help us envision a world without juvenile Batten disease. The 2K run is a way for non-runners and children to get involved. It is an especially easy way for kids to contribute to a cause that affects their peers and friends. Registration is $35. Fundraising is not required to participate in the 2K Fun Run, but for those who do will be entered into a raffle for a GoPro. All registrants will have access to our online fundraising tools and will receive an event t-shirt.
